Psychological / emotional perspective: When we realize that we are last, for instance in a queue, we should perhaps decide whether we are following all others or bringing up the rear. In the latter sense this requires some courage because our back is exposed. Following others may mean that others take the risk.
[1]There are two spiritual interpretations for last.
The last supper, as in the sense of the final time, suggests the time just before we have completed one of our earthly tasks.
A shoe last signifies a pro-forma from which we can achieve a better fit, albeit after some effort.
[2]Material aspects: If we are last in a dream there may be a situation in reality where our feelings are not being taken into account. Being the last to be chosen highlights an insecurity about our viability which may be a legacy from childhood.
[3]Seeing yourself in the last spot of any kind of event denotes that in your working environment, your opinions are not listened to, and that you are not valued enough.
